The Role
After training was completed i started to get more responsibility, my input and thoughts were considered by other colleagues
Support and guidnace was great from the start, had regular meetings with my manager to discuss my work and any concerns i had. Additionally had a great placement team in my department which were always availible to talk and help with any problems
Once traning was completed, i was busy on most days. There are periods of more work and less work but could always talk to my mananger if the workload was too high/ not enough
When trained, I was given more responsibility than i was expecting for an undergraduate, i was treated more or less like a full time employee and felt like i would have continued to gain more responsibility as i got more and more experience
I feel like i have gained alot of skills from this one year of work and am very glad that i opted for a placement. i believe that the business skills will be very useful when studying and in any future career
The Company
The office was very friendly and i felt i could approach anyone in the office with a question, it was quieter on some days of the week however
Placement very well set up in my department, had training from the begining and constant support througout
The company were very supportive of any additional training that i was intersted in. they actively encouraged us to see other areas of the business and funded trips for us to visit other sites
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Unfortunalely there is no suitable graduate programme for my role
The Culture
There is a large group of undergraduates at the site i am based, this allowed a good social scene and many of undergraduates were based in close proximity
Quite expensive but no worse than university really
Not that many nightclubs or good places to visit locally, however are places within travelling distance
Yes there were clubs and meals organised througout the year
