The Role
Very interesting high-profile projects and great culture
Differed from colleague to colleague, but generally even an intern's opinion is considered
Expectations were clearly laid out and feedback was given constantly (with a few exceptions)
Had some rough nights and weekends, but nothing crazy above the industry usual hours
Differed from project to project, but generally more than expected
Considering uni, to a smaller degree in future finance courses - considering future work, I learned a lot of useful things such as Excel, etc that will help a lot
The Company
Very good and above what one would expect from an investment bank, despite high labour turnover at the time of the internship
Very structured and transparent, 10/10
We received Excel, Accounting and Factset courses, but most training was very basic and did not consider the different pre-experience of different people
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Healthcare/Dental
Good investment banking analyst programme with a relatively small class enabling analysts to gain as much as exposure as possible
The Culture
Yes, we went out a few times, especially during the orientation week
Affordable, but far away from cheap
Very good with Shoreditch and Hackney just around the corner, most bankers do, however, prefer to go to West London for nightlife
Possibly, but no time for it
