The Role
Challenging project, diverse opportunities, supportive network, perfect team.
My colleagues value my opinions and my proposals despite the fact that I’m new. Also, during the internship I got many opportunities to learn about everybody either on a professional or personal level.
I was provided with sufficient support from my manager, e.g. contacting with the stakeholders, filling in knowledge gaps and offering advice and guidance of the project.
I fully enjoyed my daily workload. Every day is different learning new things, meeting different people and working towards the final outcome.
My fellow intern project partner and I worked as a group independently throughout the whole process. Our manager gave us guidance and advice, but she put in us complete trust to complete the tasks on our own. In the end we successfully put everything together and delivered the written reports and presentation.
I learned a lot from the internship. First of all my communication skills and how to fit in the international working environment as an overseas colleague. It grew my confidence in collaborating with people and letting my personality shine through. Also, the internship helped me develop my understanding of finance. I learned a lot about the connections of different business areas and got a deep insight into how I may apply my skill set to the wide industry.
The Company
Helpful. Lively. Warm. Dream team.
We were given plenty of time getting to know everybody on the team before diving into the project. This massively improved my understanding of my team and the whole business, and helped me build up a solid network. Fully enjoyed the process completing the project. Accomplished good teamwork with my partner. Helpful resources were provided by the graduate team and my managers.
The mandatory training was helpful to learn about the corporate culture and position. Also we as interns got the chance to attend the CSR day and discovery day, which was helpful and inspiring.

The Culture
We have brilliant socials throughout the whole internship. I built quality relationships with the fellow interns and we had a very good time communicating different cultures and viewpoints.
I was based in Birmingham. Things are fine.
Good pubs. Safe area. Convenient transportation links.
We were given many opportunities to get involved. Just do it!
