The Role
It has been great gaining exposure throughout the organisation, as well as having my needs as an intern recognised and catered for. It has been hard work.
My opinion has been considered throughout, and I have felt like a member of the team since the beginning. They really couldn't do their job without us [managers] so we are definately important.
Support was given, although the most support was in challenging me for my own development. I have been used to having my hand held in a business environment, so it was actually more beneficial for my development this way. Supervisor requested that I make a list of aims and objectives which were then acted upon.
Drips and drabs. Some times I can be completely rushed off my feet, others I will have little to do. Generally speaking I have always had enough to do.
Attending pitches from the first month. Managed my own project in the second month.
Good for my development, confidence and understanding of internal stakeholders.
The Company
Generally positive. Busy and bustling.
Very good.
Courses, training days and opportunities to develop and become involved throughout. I was able to take time out to attend interviews, and also attend meetings with people in other areas of the organisation.
Company Parties/Events
Very limited. Business model doesn't allow for many job opportunities. Graduate scheme often filled with graduates 25+ with years of experience.
The Culture
Cliquey groups - but this is fine. You make your friends and stick to them!
Its London...
Angel, lots of bars.
Always volunteering opportunities.
