The Role
It was a great experience working with a lot of people from diverse backgrounds on a global level
People were warm and genuinely interested in learning in other peoples cultures
They were very committed to seeing me succeed here at the Bank
I was busy 90% of the time through the period of the internship
I got to work on things which were crucial to on-going transactions
The skills gained during the internship are invaluable and would always come into play in life generally
The Company
It was a very professional and in some way relaxed environment. It is serious work being done by the most articulate and fun set of people
It was almost perfect. I have never experienced work in such an advanced setting
The Bank invests a lot in its interns starting from a 1 week training at the start of the internship. The people in the teams are very willing to help out where an intern does not understand and there were weekly learning sessions where we got insight into a broad range of topics such as thematic investing or cyber security
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
There is no better place to want to work and I can't think of anything I want more than a job at the Bank right now
The Culture
Interns got together a lot, whether it was at company organised events, talking about whose staffing was more complicated over dinner or getting wild at Friday night parties
Socialising was pretty much okay because we were very well paid as interns, which afforded us a different king of lifestyle from the average person Most people did not live around the office. Rent around the office was probably not the most economic option
Bars on every corner. Friday nights were very alive!
Absolutely! there were many events both company organized or company affiliated which we were encouraged to get involved in. I took advantage of them
