The Role
I really enjoyed it. I was sat with the Fine Art team so I was dealing with extremely interesting clients, as well as being part of a lovely team who were friendly, helpful and worked well with each other. I learned a lot very quickly, down to the fact my team were so helpful.
I really felt like part of my team throughout the whole internship, and that I was adding value.
Whenever I had a question, every member of the team was willing to help.
My team were always very busy and fairly short-staffed so they didn't always have time to set me work.
I was involved with some important projects and felt like I was really helping the team. Obviously I couldn't take front-facing roles as an intern but I was definitely part of the process.
In terms of my degree, engineering doesn't have any relevance with fine art insurance. For life in general, it has taught the importance of keeping good relationships with customers
The Company
Everyone was always in a good mood, it was common that everyone was laughing with each other. You would always feel comfortable within the team.
Everyone seemed to know what they were doing and there was lots of extra stuff put on for us that increased our knowledge of the industry.
I was mainly doing project work so was really just learning on the job, therefore it was more upto me how much I invested in development.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
It seems like a great company to work for, with great benefits. They also seem to offer a structure where it's easy to move around/up.
The Culture
We had one intern social, but the rest of social events were left up to us to organise.
Central London is very expensive
London is great fun
You could take part in many different company teams and events with other members of the team.
