The Role
The internship was a fantastic experience. I was exposed to a lot of opportunities that I thought I would never be involved in. I was constantly kept involved, proactive with a perfect work/social life balance. HR are fantastic, and people you can trust and rely on. Highly recommend!
The division I was place in has a stigma/culture where people are constantly travelling/not in office. As a result, feeling valued by your colleagues can be a struggle. However, every team culture is different and as a whole the majority all felt valued. It solely depends on your team. When everyone is in and free/available, feeling valued is great.
I had a great line manager/supervisor if their schedule was free/available. Again, the division you're in is a big factor. My supervisors were worldwide and timezone/travelling was often an issue.
Perfect Balance.
The work I was involved in was very meaningful and have a worldwide global impact. The work you get is very serious, and a fantastic time to shine! There is no 'lightwork' around here that will get discarded after 8 weeks..
I learnt many new skills, especially within excel. Degree wise, nothing was relevant at all which was a shame.
The Company
50/50. Some days were exciting and fun, some were dull. Merely depends on your floor and team.
HR and talent department are fantastic! Highly recommend and will emphasize once again they are people you can trust and rely on! Great opportunities, such as a speaker series.
