    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I undertook a one week placement at the firm and greatly enjoyed both the intellectual as well as social aspects.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I shared an office with a senior associate and a trainee and was always included in all discussions. I greatly enjoyed working with the team.

  • For each piece of work, I was informed of how it fitted into the bigger picture and thus had a solid understanding of its importance.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was constantly given interesting work and was never bored or too busy.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As I was not a trainee nor a fee earner, I had moderate responsibility but that is understandable. Nonetheless, the work that I was given was certainly necessary for the fee earners.

  • N/A I had already graduated when I did the placement.

  • Very friendly, enjoyed speaking to and meeting a variety of people.

  • Well organised, was never lost at any point.

  • I had the opportunity to attend lunch time talks which I found valuable to my overall development.
