The Role
I undertook a one week placement at the firm and greatly enjoyed both the intellectual as well as social aspects.
I shared an office with a senior associate and a trainee and was always included in all discussions. I greatly enjoyed working with the team.
For each piece of work, I was informed of how it fitted into the bigger picture and thus had a solid understanding of its importance.
I was constantly given interesting work and was never bored or too busy.
As I was not a trainee nor a fee earner, I had moderate responsibility but that is understandable. Nonetheless, the work that I was given was certainly necessary for the fee earners.
N/A I had already graduated when I did the placement.
The Company
Very friendly, enjoyed speaking to and meeting a variety of people.
Well organised, was never lost at any point.
I had the opportunity to attend lunch time talks which I found valuable to my overall development.
I have accepted a training contract with the firm.
The Culture
Very friendly atmosphere.
