The Role
I really, really enjoyed my internship and thought it was very apparent how much effort had been put into making it an amazing experience!
From our first day the team made us feel very welcome and this made me feel valued.
Our people manager, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], was always checking on our work load and how we were coping with our work.
We were constantly provided with work and knew who to ask if we felt like we were running out of work.
The level of responsibility we were given really took me by surprise. I felt that from our first day we were given very important and advanced work and were trusted to carry it out and offered assistance when it was needed.
The internship gave me my first introduction to practical experience of my degree and this experience has built my confidence in my ability to do the work.
The Company
The office was definitely a place where you could get stuck into your work as it was quiet which enabled me to concentrate. However, there was also time for chatting and getting to know colleagues which I think is very important.
There was a very clear structure to the internship pathway.
The firm invested a lot in us - the opportunity to travel to London twice during the 6 weeks was an amazing experience and they also allowed us to attend client meetings.
National Travel
I got offered a graduate job with GT for when I finish university and I cannot wait to go back.
The Culture
All of the interns got on very well and built friendships during the 6 weeks.
The internship was in the city I have been brought up in so the cost of living was no different for me.
Same as above.
There was social events on and lunches which we were invited to join.
