The Role
Incredible! Spending a total of 9 weeks on the trading floor, coalesced with weekly learning sessions to broaden your knowledge, really made the programme worthwhile.
A lot. If I encountered any personal problems during the internship the HR team and the desks I interned on really made an effort to ensure I was okay!
Lots! Not only was I assigned two desk buddies for each rotation but also a senior mentor and an intern advisory board member.
The programme is run in the ideal way to promote a high degree of structure, such as team projects and shadowing other teams, as well as encouraging autonomy like organising your own coffee chats.
Lots! Always something to do on the trading floor. If there is a quiet day in the markets that doesn't mean an interns' day is any less busy! We were always encouraged to make the most of our time at the bank.
Lots! Learnt VBA
