  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Incredible! Spending a total of 9 weeks on the trading floor, coalesced with weekly learning sessions to broaden your knowledge, really made the programme worthwhile.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • A lot. If I encountered any personal problems during the internship the HR team and the desks I interned on really made an effort to ensure I was okay!

  • Lots! Not only was I assigned two desk buddies for each rotation but also a senior mentor and an intern advisory board member.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The programme is run in the ideal way to promote a high degree of structure, such as team projects and shadowing other teams, as well as encouraging autonomy like organising your own coffee chats.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Lots! Always something to do on the trading floor. If there is a quiet day in the markets that doesn't mean an interns' day is any less busy! We were always encouraged to make the most of our time at the bank.

  • amazing 0 lots of energy and smart people. Network as much as possible!
