The Role
The HR team worked hard to put on events to ensure the interns got to know each other well. The employees I worked with were friendly and the work was interesting.
My colleagues (members of the bank and other interns) made me feel very welcome.
Most of my guidance was given by members of the bank I worked on projects with as opposed to dedicated supervisors. However, my mentor was very helpful and dedicated to being available to talk to me when I needed advice.
My workload varied. At the beginning was very high, but became more balanced throughout the internship.
Low amount of responsibility.
I am very grateful to the employees that spent time talking through finance with me and teaching me, as I am not from a financial background. Learning sessions held by the bank were also very helpful.
The Company
I sat with interns who were very friendly.
Very well organised with learning sessions and events for interns.
Learning events (including initial training week) and time spent with employees boosted my finance knowledge and skills.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Travel loan
I would be very happy to get a job with the organisation.
The Culture
I made friendships with other interns that I think will continue after the internship.
Food places near work were expensive for lunch, but we received a £15 dinner allowance.
Good bars, also close to Fabric in Farringdon.
I was involved in the 'Corporate Challenge', a 6.7km run. However there was not much time for many activities outside of work as the work day is very demanding.
