The Role
In my view, the Deutsche Bank summer analyst programme offers a unique professional experience. The internship helped me develop my analytical skills and provided me with broad based knowledge and intense exposure to corporate finance. The working atmosphere was great and the structure and guidance during the summer analyst programme is excellent
During the internship I felt as part of the team. The team members were always willing to work with summer analysts and provided us with great support and advice on most of the challenges we encountered
I was given regular guidance by a manager who made sure I was involved in more than one project at a time
The workload was high but achievable
I was given significant responsibility after the first day of work. However, the responsibilities and expectations on my me progressively increased during the internship period.
During the internship I learned how to work effectively as part of a multicultural team and learned how to deal with tight deadlines and under high pressure
The Company
The work environment was very positive
The work placement and the internship were perfectly organised and complemented with weekly networking and learning events
The training was very helpful and it lasted long enough to consolidate basic knowledge right before the internship
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I got an offer and will be joining the Bank in July.
The Culture
Among the interns the relationship was very good and we usually supported and helped each other in order to deliver the best results possible. We all frequently met outside work and organised events together
The cost of living in the City was high and the rents were extremely high when compared with the quality of the appartment or residence that was delivered
In the area I worked there was no nightlife for young analysts
I had opportunities, but lacked the time to engage any activities appart from work during the week
