The Role
I was fortunate enough to have 4 days worth of business trip from my usual working location in London( Bishopgate). One was at Cheadle and the other at Solihull. They were very useful in terms of my development and I gained a lot of experience as well as networking on a huge scale!
All colleagues were nice!
My manager and mentor helped me a lot through my internship it depends on which manager you get! But I was lucky to get a friendly manager!
Moderately Busy. At times work did demand a lot of work for completion and then it would be less intensive in terms of work load.
I was given a variety of responsibility from introducing new interns to my area of work. To presenting in front of a big audience.
I learnt Excel ( advanced), VBA a lot of skills my Mathematics degree could not equip me with
The Company
Very friendly. People are caring and nice they consider your efforts and are very willing to help you if your are found in a sticky situation!
It was very organised again this depends on your manager my manager was very supportive if I found it to be too difficult she would guide me and help me out! Everything was very well organised to a high standard. I think some parts that weren't organised gave you the opportunity to organise it yourself!
I had a lot of training given in the first week. Everyone has some sort of training to cover during their first initial weeks. I had to complete Mandatory training Q2 training and I also completed Q3 training ( few sections) later on I also had to complete the chartered banker diploma.
Company Parties/Events
Quite unclear but later some graduate prospects are available!
The Culture
not really
Expensive but worth it!
London says enough!
Yes from drinking in Exchange square in Liverpool street to playing Bingo etc.
