The Role
I enjoyed my internship a lot. I got to learn a lot about the company and the role that technology plays into banking. I would recommend to anyone looking to do a summer internship in London.
My manager right from the start asked me what I wanted to achieve during this internship and we discussed what projects I could work one to achieve these goals. I felt respected and valued.
My colleagues always agreed to answer the questions I had without exception.
I was busy enough to always have something to do and to discover the other divisions in the company.
I was given what you would expect for the time of this internship.
The intern project was a challenging which got me really interested in the particular subject. This internship has allowed me to really think about what I want to do in my career and what I want to achieve.
The Company
Normal office space. Nothing special.
The setup was great and a lot of effort is put into making sure that there are enough opportunities for you to meet colleagues and have the time to network.
The salary and benefits that you get are plenty considering the level you are at in your career. This is a great programme to be in to start working.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Pretty good for the technology division. I cannot speak for the other divisions within the bank.
The Culture
Not great but normal. Nothing special and exactly what you would expect from a big established organisation.
Not relevant I was living at home.
London is a great city in the summer
Not many. You have to do it yourself.
