The Role
Overall the internship has been very fun and my colleagues have made a comfortable environment for me. It has been very rewarding for me, helping to identify my career goals both within and outside of the group. My only complaint is that sometimes I am left with nothing to do, especially if my line manager is away.
Everyone made me feel every welcome.
I have received very little form my actual line manager, but the BSM she assigned to me has been very helpful.
Could do more, but they do respond when I ask for work. Workload can be a bit inconsistent.
Responsibility has been increasing during my time here.
Developed management and team working skills. Going from a full working day to my degree will seem really easy. Giving me confidence to apply for other schemes.
The Company
Usually very good. Dropped off massively on fridays
Didn't have much contact from emerging talent team. But my onsite colleagues were helpful.
Scholars Scheme, so significant investment form employer. I have been given training and coaching, although no actual qualifications were received.
Not really for me. More the culture of the company. Also the grad scheme seems too random in terms of business area to focus on my career.
The Culture
Bit noisy at nights, especially on work nights. Annoying but nothing to do with LBG.
No problems for me Free accommodation so I cant really complain.
Love Edinburgh. great city to be in, especially for the fringe.
Not really with group organised events.
