The Role
I overall really enjoyed the internship as it has been a very useful experience to get a better understanding about how banks operate and about the career opportunities in banks. The culture of the company is very friendly and supportive with a lot of emphasis on the work-life balance.
I felt valued by my colleagues, they were always very friendly and supportive.
My manager has set up catch-ups every week to discuss the work I have done. He has given me help when I needed and he was very approachable and fair.
The fist two weeks I did not have a lot of work to do, I mainly was just given readings. After the first two weeks, I had continuously normal amount of work to do and I have only stayed late in the office a few times.
I have not been given too much responsibility.
I have studied external audit at university, but this placement has given me a good understanding about how internal audit works and gave me practical experience.
The Company
The general atmosphere has been very friendly in the office. Every person I met was very friendly, helpful and easily approachable. It is a really good environment to work in.
We had continuously trainings, insight events and additional programs organized. We had a performance pack in order to keep track on our progress and the program seemed very well organized overall.
I had a reasonable amount of training organized over the 9 weeks in order to develop soft and practical skills.

Subsidised/Company Gym
The Culture
We had a charity bike ride organized within the department and a bowling night with my team.
