The Role
It was ok and I got the odd job here and there but I didn't really feel as though I was working towards something and it was hard to see the bigger picture.
My managers were quite supportive and gave me a lot of guidance when they were free due to their wealth of experience.
I have not been very busy at all this internship however I have managed to fill my time with shadow days, learning courses and cv and interview skills.
I was responsible for some of the month end reporting however apart from that, not much.
My personal development here has been great. I have gained more knowledge in CV and interview skills. Also I have been able to learn courses on Lynda.com which has been very useful.
The Company
Really friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the non hierarchical attitude.
In terms of job role, not very well. There was not much context behind the work I was doing and I felt like I was just sorting out loose ends.
They were able to provide me with really good courses such as time management, excel, and e learning courses.
Very appealing as Lloyds is a top 5 retail banking company
The Culture
Yes the social scene has been amazing. I have made many great friends for life.
It could be a bit expensive at times however the wages we were earning more than covered this, so wasn't really an issue.
Really good fun. There are many cool bars and clubs to go to making the nightlife quite unique.
There were a good amount of activities available locally which meant that you could walk to most places.
