The Role
As my first finance experience, I really enjoyed it. Barclays has a really open culture which really motivates you to learn.
Despite the fact that I am an intern, I am never afraid to say my opinion and it's always valued and considered.
Whenever I was needed help everyone was very keen to help me and explain thoroughly the situation.
I was busy but it combined various work elements - meeting etc, so I never felt too tired or demotivated.
I was given full responsibility to do some objectives since day one. I decided what was the best method for me to do a task and asked for feedback midway to improve.
The skills I've learnt are totally valuable. I feel more mature and that I can handle situations in a more professional way.
The Company
Very friendly.
Very organised. What I need to do, how you are rated and various intern events.
They always had time to explain to me stuff.
I really want to stay in the organisation in the future.
The Culture
Yes, I made very good friends.
It is expensive to get food and to go for a drink with friends.
I haven't really experienced the nightlife.
Various opportunities to get involved.
