The Role
I greatly enjoyed my placement in Mid Markets Sales - Commercial Banking - Financial Markets - Midlands, East and South West England. The team are so supportive that, even when presented with a somewhat tasking or challenging project, I could work with the team to help me and develop my skills.
During my summer internship placement in Mid Markets Sales - Commercial Banking - Financial Markets - Midlands, East and South West England - I was lucky enough to work with some great people, who always had time for questions and saw a great adding of value in helping an intern develop. They made me feel like a real part of the team and one of their own.
I greatly enjoyed my placement in Mid Markets Sales - Commercial Banking - Financial Markets - Midlands, East and South West England. My line manager was a very senior colleague who had much experience of managing people. As a result, I was lucky to receive great levels of support and guidance.
As is the case with Financial Markets internships - I had very busy days that were longer than the typical 9-5. This was a great experience and really allowed me to develop my time management skills.
As an intern in a client-facing department, assigning responsibility can be challenging. Despite this, I was given a good amount of responsibility with internal projects - this was a good balance as a I was accountable to internal colleagues who knew I was an intern.
The on-going macroeconomic analysis and research, as well as research and analysis of current affairs, will definitely be helpful to my to my studies of Politics.
The Company
Friendly team, with a real 'team' feeling. Can't speak for the whole office, but the atmosphere within the team is great and will be missed.
There were some queries regarding accommodation and the IT is an on-going issue. For instance, I am in the last days of my placement and still do not have access to some of the systems required. Everything except IT has been organised very well.
Allowing me to see different departments and go and meet different teams in different cities was a great experience.
Above 25 days holiday
Very - this is an organisation in which I would like to have a career.
The Culture
Great amongst colleagues, no comment for placements students as there aren't any others.
Cost of living: Average - apartment was provided and intra-city transport is relatively inexpensive.
Wouldn't know.
Charity and intern challenges were a great way to meet new colleagues and interns, and gain further exposure to different parts of the bank.
