The Role
I have absolutely loved my 10 week summer placement at L'Oréal. I have been given a lot of responsibility which I value very highly and we are seen as just another member of the organisation, not a lower down intern.
Your colleagues rely on you just as much as any other employee so therefore you are required to perform constantly - just like any work environment
My manager was the most incredible manager I have had and I have worked in 7 different offices. He helped me with any query emphasising that no question was a stupid question. With every piece of work there was a sense of achievement coming from him and he gave back constructive advice excellently and non-threateningly. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is a legend, no exaggeration.
I had a comfortable level of work throughout my time at L'Oréal. When people give you work, you are fully entitled to say that you wont be able to meet their expectations for a deadline for example.
I was given the responsibility of a Product Brand Manager which was absolutely incredible and it drove me to reach expectations.
The marketing knowledge I learnt from my placement will be invaluable throughout the rest of my career.
The Company
Our office is constantly buzzing, with areas you can escape to if need be. Its a perfect balance
The internship was very well organised. The hand-over of previous interns to current interns was generally seamless and a very efficient process to teach new interns the working of the L'Oréal systems.
My favourite days at L'Oréal were the days with the most learning. L'Oréal sub-contracted some training like 'How to act in the workplace' and reading the different types of people in the office and how to deal with them. They were all brilliant

Working from home
Very high. There is a lot to be learnt and achieved at L'Oréal by anyone.
The Culture
There have been intern socials which are great for socialising but there could have been more in my opinion
London is very expensive in general
I never went out in Hammersmith
There are sporting teams organised like football and netball
