The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement. From the beginning I was treated as an employee and contributing to work like any other person. I was given a lot of responsibility and the work was very varied. I have learnt a lot from the placement and wish it hasnt come to an end.
Overall i received enough support and guidance but on one project i was left alone more and did not have much direction from others. however this does not reflect how my other projects were - whenever i had a question it would be answered and people were willing to guide me whenever i needed. me whenever i needed.
Again, this fluctuated depending on my project. Overall i was always working on something everyday .However there was a project which they did not have a structure to how things would work out. I could go a couple of hours without being assigned work and then receive a lot all at once.

I was given a lot of responsibility and i really liked that. i felt that my co-workers had trust in me to get things done which i really appreciated. I felt that the responsibility that i was given on my projects really helped me to develop and grow as a person.
it has really helped. i have become so much more confident as a person and am no longer afraid to speak up. i feel much more proud and confident in my work contributions too. it was also great to see how my academic studies are reflected in the real life working environment.
The Company
the atmosphere is formal but still people are friendly and willing to help you whenever you need. everyone is very open and willing to help if you need directions or help. I really liked the offices, they are modern clean and very open plan.
as we are assigned projects it was mainly based on the manager and the project management of that project. therefore some projects could be very organised and others could be very unorganised. luckily i saw best of both and therefore understood this. some people were also on the bench for a few weeks when first joining.
the company invested a good amount. there was always the opporunity to go on training to improve your skills. there were lots of extra-curricular activities to meet others and invest outside of work time in i.e. yoga club, wine tasting. the firm really appreciates their employees which was really nice to see.

Working from home
yes i would definitely like to work for the company when i graduate as it is a really good place. the growth opportunities are huge.
The Culture
yes we had a whatsapp and occasionally met up for drinks. everyone was very friendly.
the area is fine for me. i am based in london for university so i am used to london costs. however i think some people would complain on the cost of drinks etc.
the area i worked is bank and it is not a nightlife area. it is a working area. if you go into central london it would be better or more towards shoreditch.
yes many opportunites which i enjoyed going to. i went to yoga classes and wanted to join the wine tasting class but never got around to doing it. there are hundreds of societies such as green society and they have many events.
