The Role
Really did differ person to person but sometimes that just depends on peoples personality. If the programme was not rotational and I was able to dedicate more time to one team I think I would have been more valuable to that team.
Depended on which department I was in. In agency there were a lot of viewings - at least one a day - and then in the development team I was also given regular tasks to complete.
Not a whole lot of responsibility but that was expected due to the nature of the placement and the fact I was only with teams for a week.
Really did learn a lot on the placement in terms of the business but fundamentally it was the people within the teams I was able to use as a resource. They all tried to help and inform me as much as possible and it really did remind me that property is a people business!
The Company
Very good, everyone was really friendly and approachable.
Again depended on the department - some were more willing for me to get involved than others. All of the grads provided a great support to the scheme.
Definitely think a lot of time was spent making sure I understood what was asked of me- which I appreciated. All the time spent going to site visits etc we would always be chatting about aspects of the job or real estate in general.
The Culture
Only student on placement however the graduate colleagues were really good at getting me involved a few out of office events.
