The Role
Enjoyed it a lot, certain aspects could have been improved.
Felt valued by all colleagues and everyone I met at the business was very friendly and always willing to help. The corporate culture is very relaxed but this makes for a fun environment to work in.
I was given lots of support by my managers and felt comfortable asking them for help when required.
Some days were busy, some days I had very little to do, despite continuously asking for work/new tasks
Given that I was only there for 10 weeks there was limited availability to build up required knowledge/skills to be given great amounts of responsibiliy
Got an introduction to coding for regression analysis which will help me in my further studies and potentially a graduate job.
The Company
The atmosphere was very relaxed, and everyone was extremely friendly. Although, being in back office meant there was little pressure and rarely tight deadlines.
I was okay. It could have been more structured. Given they knew I would be joining around 3 months before I started I think they could have set out a better plan of what I would be working on before I got there. As opposed to allocating me to a project as and when I'd finished working on a project. Which caused some periods with little to do. Also, I believe they could have given some pre-reading before I got there which would have helped me a lot and saved a lot of time.
They were keen to get me involved straight away and invested a lot of time in teaching me everything I needed to know.

Very appealing, the transition from internship to graduate role is an easy process if you perform well.
The Culture
Team lunches during the work day were the only company organised socials. However, there were socials organised by individual colleagues and other interns that you could get involved with if you knew the right people.
I cannot comment on the cost of living as I lived at home. The cost of socialising was slightly higher than average. (Milton Keynes)
The nightlife is slightly limited as there aren't that many places to go to but the ones that are available are pretty good.
There weren't any opportunities for this.
