The Role
I really enjoyed my time on the internship. It was an amazing experience and gave me the opportunity to meet so many amazing individuals, aswell as the chance to work abroad. I had the opportunity to meet senior leaders, attend presentation training sessions as well as the challenge to present to a big audience. The work was challenging but I was continously supported throughout my internship. Not only this but the socials organised were an amazing opportunity to meet and get to know the other interns, from the crystal maze experience to go karting.
I felt extremely valued by my colleagues. We were recommended to organise and number of meetings with senior leaders. As well as being respected by my team, the respect shown by those in high positions was something I didn't expect. They provided advice and support. I know they will take the time out of their day if I ever needed to ask a question.
Throughout the whole internship I was continuously supported by both my line manager and assigned buddy. Not only this but every intern was also assigned a mentor, in case you ever wanted to speak about something non work related. As well as being able to speak to the HR department at any time.
On the internship we were assigned both work and tasks by our teams we were working in and a separate internship group task. This meant that if there was ever a time I didn't have any work assigned by my team I had other work to complete for my group task.
In terms of the work assigned by my team I wasn't given as much responsibility as I had for my group tasks. This was primarily due to the importance of the work I was doing and meant that the work also had to be done by my team mates to ensure It was correct.
100% . The reason for this is throughout my time on the internship my confidence increased immensely in both presenting and my people skills. Not just this I was given an amazing excel training course. This I will continue to use in my future career as well as when I go back to university.
The Company
Every atmosphere in different offices varied. From both different offices to different floors in the office. I was based in Gibraltar the atmosphere was extremely relaxed, especially the dress code. People would regularly be wearing flip flops in the office. In terms of noise my floor was one of the quieter ones.
The internship was extremely well run from arrangements of travel to the Gibraltar offices to the day to day running of tasks and internship events. The internship events were set in stone from the get go and all the interns knew exactly what we were doing from the start, it was amazing.
I feel the Company invested so much into all the interns and in particular the Gibraltar interns. From flights and accommodation to food everything was paid for. Not only this but the socials and training day were not cheap ideas all of which were amazing and was I was extremely invested in.

very appealing. The internship gave us all the opportunity to meet senior leaders this therefore inspired us and gave us a chance to see how far you can go in the business. Not only that but through the internship we were given the chance to see how you can get there.
The Culture
Very. The socials organised were amazing and different. Our socials ranged from the crystal maze experience to a night out at the bat and ball. Not only this but in Gibraltar drinks after work were a routine thing with the other colleges in the business offering to show you around.
Gibraltar is quite an expensive place to live however in terms of the internship all expenses were paid for. We were given £30 a day for food therefore I spent virtually nothing being there allowing me to save a lot of money. From laundry to flights and accommodation everything was sorted.
In gibraltar the nightlife wasnt as good as those based in London.
There was a social email on friday to indicate the events in the following week.
