The Role
The lifestyle and social side was amazing, the actual day-to-day job was less interesting, but I have now been moved to an area that does interest me.
My colleagues immedeitely made efforts to include and get to know me which was appreciated. The other Interns were all incredibly friendly.
My Line Manager, the rest of my team and the grad recruitment team were always on hand to help me if they could in any way.
This was partly due to the complexity of the job, I became busier towards the end when I could contribute more.
I had to perform tasks to provide information to others which they relied upon condiderably. Towards the end of my internship I was given more responsiblity as my understanding of processes improved.
I learnt many technical aspects which will no doubt come in useful, but also career and life advice from superiors will also be something that I gladly take into the future.
The Company
This varied enourmously, some of the people in my immediete vicinity were quite senior so usually depended on what mood they were in.
Very well organised, with all dates set out at the start and stuck to.
We were given excel training in our indcution week to help us with our placement, and this was further enhanced on-the-job when everyone was happy to talk you through anything you couldn't do.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I liked the environment on the whole, and believe I have found a role which will suit me better.
The Culture
Yes, full to the brim of legends.
V expensive, but pay in the area was more than enough to allow it to happen frequently (daily).
Pretty good, and very accessible to other areas.
Yes there were, two things that I took interest in were cricket and blogging for the website.
