The Role
I enjoyed the experience of a fast-paced environment, but overall the hours are far too long leaving little time for socializing and relaxing.
Mostly I felt like any other member of the team, given the same level of responsibility. However, there were some times where I may not have been given or shown certain tasks and I believe this was because I was seen to be leaving soon.
I was always given support and guidance whenever I asked any questions or needed help, everyone has been in your position and is happy to share any knowledge they have. There could have been more regular meetings with supervisors though.
My branch was always busy, never a quiet day. I enjoyed this aspect as the days went really quickly despite being long hours.
Given the same responsibility as everyone else in the branch.
The placement definitely gave me a better idea for time management, and I think will give me a good start to my final year of university in learning to balance everything.
The Company
Despite sometimes having a non-stop day or maybe even the odd difficult customer, the people you work with are what makes the placement. Everyone is really friendly and relaxed.
Found the organization to be poor as on several occasions we were told different things, e.g. the salary we were offered changed several times before starting the placement.
Financial Bonus
Being invited back to my branch is very encouraging, but I would only return if the hours were to be cut.
The Culture
No but we were all spread out very far so there wasn't much opportunity to meet up.
Reasonably priced but I lived at home during the placement.
