    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed my internship at Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. The job was varied and different everyday. As an intern there was a lot of interaction with customers if that was during renting vehicles in branch or on the road doing pickups. This intern had a strong driving element with many hours being spent on the road which broke up the day nicely, however could become tedious. The internship also had a small element of sales which I enjoyed doing.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The Stockport branch was a fun and friendly place to work. Each one of my colleagues made me feel valued and an important part of the team.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I feel I could have been given more support and guidance at the beginning of the internship. In a few situations in dealing with customers or the process of completing a rental I was unsure on what to do, and very much left to figure things out for myself. However being somewhat thrown in the deep end made me learn quicker.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy. During the summer months many of my colleagues went on holidays which led to us being understaffed, putting more pressure on me and my colleagues to get everything done.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • At Enterprise you can be given as much responsibility as you choose. The more you want to learn and apply yourself the more you can do, however the responsibility does increase with this.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • In regards to marketing modules at university this has improved my understanding of the subject, as a branch we have gone out on marketing trips to improve business.
