The Role
I enjoyed my internship at Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. The job was varied and different everyday. As an intern there was a lot of interaction with customers if that was during renting vehicles in branch or on the road doing pickups. This intern had a strong driving element with many hours being spent on the road which broke up the day nicely, however could become tedious. The internship also had a small element of sales which I enjoyed doing.
The Stockport branch was a fun and friendly place to work. Each one of my colleagues made me feel valued and an important part of the team.
I feel I could have been given more support and guidance at the beginning of the internship. In a few situations in dealing with customers or the process of completing a rental I was unsure on what to do, and very much left to figure things out for myself. However being somewhat thrown in the deep end made me learn quicker.
Very busy. During the summer months many of my colleagues went on holidays which led to us being understaffed, putting more pressure on me and my colleagues to get everything done.
At Enterprise you can be given as much responsibility as you choose. The more you want to learn and apply yourself the more you can do, however the responsibility does increase with this.
In regards to marketing modules at university this has improved my understanding of the subject, as a branch we have gone out on marketing trips to improve business.
The Company
Very good.
Fairly organised
Its up to you to invest as much as you like and develop yourself as much as you can through these experiences.
Plenty of career progression.
The Culture
Yes the fellow interns were sociable.
