The Role
I enjoyed my whole placement at Groupe Seb and would definitely recommend this placement to others.
I felt highly valued by my work colleagues as the work I completed on a daily and weekly basis was used by them and was trusted to be correct.
Throughout my whole placement I was supported by my manager, even if he was out of office I would receive a prompt reply by email. The rest of the team also supported me and gave me guidance if I was unsure of something.
I rarely found myself without anything to do.
From the beginning of my placement I was given a lot of responsibility and I was expected and trusted to produce accurate work.
I have developed skills I can use throughout my career and life such as presentation skills and excel skills.
The Company
There was a good atmosphere in the office. Everyone was very friendly and there were regular social events put on by the company.
Some aspects of the placement weren’t well organised, for example, when I arrived at my placement the person who was meant to do my handover was on holiday so the first week of my job was spent doing things irrelevant to my role.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
The head office is small so there is no job to walk back in to. However, I believe I would be favoured if I was to apply to the company in the future.
The Culture
There were lots of social events put on by the company throughout the year.
It was an expensive place to live and socialise due to being so close to London.
The nightlife wasn’t too bad. Also being so close to London there was options to go out there too.
There were charity activities you could get involved with.
