The Role
Really enjoyed my placement, got to work on some really interesting projects.
My team supported me throughout my placement year and help was always available.
I always had the support I needed from my team. As I progressed through my placement year I started to become more independent and was able to carry out work set for me.
Depends on the time of the year and the projects the team are involved in. Sometimes it can get very busy but on the whole there was a good balance.
As I progressed through the year I was given more responsibility, but my team only gave work that they knew I can complete.
Going on placement has provided me with an insight into the industry I want to go into. It has reinforced what I leant at University and has allowed me to apply what I learnt.
The Company
Really good, people in the office got along really well.
It was organized very well as they take on a lot of placements every year.
I was able to go on QA courses and take part in the Software Academy which is a 2 week course to learn about tools and software Nissan use.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
There are opportunities but it depends on what roles are available when I re-apply.
The Culture
Everyone on placement got along really well. I made some really good friends on placement and we regularly organized activities including sports, cinema, day trips, meals outside of work.
I lived at home but from what I've heard it was very good.
Never went out on a night out but from what I've heard it's pretty good.
In my team there wasn't very many opportunities to get involved into activities outside of work.
