The Role
A great rotational programme in the regional offices that ensured I got a great overview of the line of service.
Colleagues involved me in many different projects, in which my role was interesting and challenging.
Frequent mentor meetings undertaken and realistic goals set.
As with all internships, I suspect, the work that a firm can give you is limited. Having said that, colleagues were often looking for work to get me involved with. A group project had been constructed in order to keep us busy during quieter times.
I was exposed to many clients throughout my internship and given real responsibility in face to face meetings.
My degree does not link that closely with my internship. I did develop good communication and research skills though.
The Company
Very friendly and encouraged many questions. All took time to explain any queries.
Training, mentoring and conclusion of internship were all very well organised.
Training involved a three day placement near London - all expenses paid for. Training throughout the internship was undertaken too.
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Got a job offer.
The Culture
We organised a few social events over the period and were invited to company events too.
Living at my university accomodation.
