The Company
I found the vacation scheme was very well structured! There were good number of presentations, workshops and panel discussions during the day to keep us busy but not too much so that my work at the department was not impeded. We were given a clear itinerary with timings as to each talk and the individual running each session, which helped us research beforehand in asking pertinent questions.
The atmosphere at the firm was very supportive and so many members of staff made such an effort to ensure we had the best possible time! Furthermore, there was a great atmosphere amongst the interns and we all bonded well as group. Overall, the atmosphere at Baker McKenzie was one of the aspects I enjoyed the most!

On this vacation scheme, I gained a good sense of what it would be like to have a full time role at Baker McKenzie, as I was able to experience day-to-day life as a trainee lawyer. The vacation scheme helped me to gain a proper understanding of the company culture at Baker McKenzie. We had sessions on diversity and corporate social responsibility initiatives at the firm, and I even had the chance to attend a corporate social responsibility event. It was great also to see the collegial and friendly culture come through in how different people at the firm worked together and through the general atmosphere.
