The Role
I enjoyed my internship. The work environment on my project was social out of office hours but not so much during office hours. I felt a deal of responsibility as I was given work immediately and was expected to help out whenever I could. I really enjoy the people I worked with.

I was given lots of support and guidance by my management and supervisors. They answered any questions I had (task related or generally about Accenture) and were very approachable. They also gave me the opportunity to speak to other people in different departments which made my support network greater. They gave me lots of positive feedback and constructive criticism on where to improve which was really helpful in allowing me to progress throughout the internship.
It varied from week to week. Some weeks were very busy whereas others were less busy but I get the impression that's just consulting! On the whole, I was very busy. They gave me lots of work and got me very involved in the project which was nice because it made me feel like part of the team.
I was given lots of responsibility during my placement. I was given ownership of certain tasks in project management such as meeting minutes and the action list. This gave me lots of responsibility within the team. This was really nice as it made me feel valued as part of the team.
The skills I have developed will assist me in my degree to an extent. I do a very different degree subject so in terms of content this placement will not help my degree but in terms of skills I have learned it will. It has really improved my communication skills which will help at university and beyond. It has also helped my project management and organisational skills which will help me for my final year at university in the future.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office was very pleasant. People were very approachable and friendly and happy to help. They would answer any questions you had or were more than willing to help you if you were struggling with something. The people at Accenture made it a very pleasant atmosphere which would make me want to come back.
The overall internship was very well organised. The first week in particular was very well planned. There were lots of tasks planned for us to do - the presentation was well planned with SMAs lined up to help us and the activities we did in between were also well planned e.g. the talks from Bianca Miller Cole.
The excel training was certainly an investment - we learned lots of skills about excel which would be applicable in the future. The talks on personal branding were also very valuable and an investment from the company. Time was also invested from Accenture employees to enhance our communication and problem solving skills.

Very good. Many people I have spoken to whilst I have been at Accenture have said what a good employee Accenture is. Being such a big company there is also clearly large room to move in different places and opportunities for promotion. This allows lots of areas of potential growth. I would definitely recommend to apply.
The Culture
There was a good social scene - the induction week for the summer interns meant we all knew each other very well. These friendships meant that we frequently met up. The work socials were also good - I have been on a few work socials and they are always very exciting and a good way to get to know people in your area/team.
My internship was in London so cost of living/travel and socialising was very expensive. I thought the £500 relocation bonus was good because it helped accommodate for this slightly. In our first week lunches were also provided for us so this was also helpful. I found lunches were very expensive locally and the canteen isn't that well subsidised compared to other corporate canteens I have been to.
Nightlife in London is very good - there are lots of places you can go (within walking distance of the Fenchurch Street Office) which was nice as it made the working environment very pleasant and sociable. The only problem is that nightlife in London is obviously expensive but there were a lot of Accenture events that were paid for so this was nice.

There were networking events and charity events were available and encouraged.
