About You
I was at my insight for 2 weeks, and during my time i enjoyed my stay and learnt a lot about the industry. From the start i was welcomed and guided throughout my 2 week stay, with staff very happy to interact with me and answer any questions i had.
During my time i felt as if they wanted me there and they were happy every day i showed up, they taught me new things and although i may have not been the best worker they didn't get frustrated they just showed me what to do and helped me when i struggled again
I recived lots of guidance and support during my insight. Every task was carefully explained and if i got lost or struggled on the task they showed me where i went wrong and how to improve it and do it correctly but never got frustrated even if i made the same mistake multiple times
during my 2 week stay i learnt many skills including problem solving and persistence, this will be extremely useful for not only my degree but also any job i have in the future, i also learnt many things within the business that i belive will strengthen my knowledge and understanding for my degree
The Company
I believe the insight was very well structured and practiced, it didn't seem like it had just been put together but felt like it had been worked on to provide the best and mot useful week for me and also the company o i could benefit them throughout my 2 weeks
I believe i worked in a very positive and hard working atmosphere for my 2 week insight. All workers were upbeat and happy to help rather than seem uninterested and if it was an extra task they didn't want to be involved with, and this was with every person i spoke to
During my time at BAE systems i believe i was developed as a persona and a worker extremely well, and because of this i think i was invested in heavily and have been built to be a better worker and human being from my 2 week insight at BAE Systems.
During my 2 weeks i think i was able to understand what it would be like to have a full time job, waking up and making sure i'm on time, not slacking and making sure i do my best job and not the bare minimum. Due to this i feel more prepared to entering a full time work place and already have a good understanding of whats expected
Working in a company is a very different culture to any other place i'd been, so this insight allowed me to see the differences and help teach me some company culture. After a few days i felt i was able to fit in with the culture and use this to help for my future placements or jobs.
This insight taught me lots and i learnt a lot about my self and interests in the future job i wish to do, i learnt that this job is taught work and a hard industry to get into which has helped me form a plan for future work interests i have
Everything Else
i was paid adequately for the work i did across my 2 weeks
i met great people on my insight and many employers for different branches who gave me business cards to keep in touch
although i met many great people i wouldn't say there was any if at all social event opportunits
No, most of my week was spent on what happens inside the workplace, especially as i was only there for a short period of time
i would 100% recommend this insight to my friends, especially if you're interested in this field of work, i was taught so much and would be great experience to have as well as put on my CV for future employers to see and know i understand how to work in this environment
