The Role
I found the internship incredibly enjoyable. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, and I learnt a huge amount about consulting at PwC.
I was given a lot of responsibility and whilst I had someone checking that I knew what I was doing, I was often given my own projects (within the larger project) to work on. I felt that what I did was really valued.
The support structure at PwC is brilliant. There are several people you can go and talk to if you need any help, and they are all really friendly and chatty too.
Most of the time I was kept very busy - something that I much preferred. However, on occasion I did find that I didn't have much to do. However, that is the nature of the role I applied for.
I was progressively given more and more responsibility as I went through. I was given my own pieces to work on, and found that I was responsible for a lot of my own timekeeping etc.
In terms of my degree (maths), I don't think that anything I learnt will help me. However, in terms of a future career, I think that the skills I learnt were invaluable.
The Company
Everyone was incredibly friendly, and would always make time for me if I had a question. There were a lot of after work events that we could go to if we wanted, and they were always good fun.
Overall, the internship was incredibly well organised. There were some occasions where there was confusion over what we were supposed to be doing, but the support network in place meant that you knew exactly who to ask to find out.
They put a huge amount into the scheme. Our first week was spent training either off site or at the company. We then also had a development project to do with other interns, and there were a multitude of training courses available to us if we wanted them.

Company Parties/Events
At the end of the internship, you are given an exit interview, where they let you know whether you have got a job with them if you want it. This is based on feedback from the projects you worked on, and feedback from your people manager.
The Culture
There was something happening among the other interns every week.
It was in London, so everything was expensive! I spent as much on living costs as I earned, but the experience was worth it.
Nightlife wasn't really something that I was interested in.
There were various client events that I was invited to go to.
