The Role
A lot depends on what project you get placed on (in consulting, this is), but even if you aren't too keen on yours, there are still lots of opportunities do do things with the other interns, move around, and generally have a good time.
I was given a lot of responsibility on my project, so the work that I did clearly aided the overall running of the team, so in this sense, I felt very valued.
The support network at PwC is amazing. If I had a problem, I could speak to my friends in my team, my informal buddy, my recruitment manager, my people manager... the list goes on.
Very busy, but those giving you work equally acknowledge that you are an intern, so you are never so overloaded that you will have to wrok ridiculous hours or anything.
On my project, as interns, we were given a really good amount of responsibility.
Presentational skills are given quite a lot of time in the training that PwC offers you when you are on yout placement, and this has no doubt helped at uni.
The Company
The amount of training (online or otherwise) available, even as an intern, is huge.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Offered a graduate role.
The Culture
A really great group of people, and lots of opportunites to meet up after work on a friday.
Of course, London is expensive... but I guess that that's no surprise.
Again, it's London, so can't really fault it. (Apart from the price!)
Lot's of things/events, both with the other interns and full time employees, were happening all the time.
