The Role
Having done this job before I knew already that I very much enjoyed it, but I was working in a completely different area of the business and still enjoyed it as much as ever.
Fantastic group of people
Always felt there were people I could go to with questions, however big or small
I was normally busy from at least 9am until 5.30pm, occasionally i had some down time which was filled with an internship 'project', and occasionally we worked slightly after 5.30.
I felt I was given the right amount of responsibility. It is hard in 6 weeks to really gain a deep understanding of a project, but I felt my previous experience at the company helped me learn quickly what was required.
Time management, professional interaction and some technical skills with computers will all help me further on in my life.
The Company
Really great office, with a great atmosphere
The internship ran smoothly for the most part, however there was a lack of organisation of social and networking events, and the follow up system was not well organised.
The training received was one thing, however it was the responsibility I was given which made me feel the company were really investing in me.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Very appealing.
The Culture
There was a great social scene among fellow interns, but this was organised completely independently from the company.
I was used to is as I live in central London anyway.
We did not go out in the immediate area, but nearby it was gerat.
Not that I was particularly aware of, but I imagine if I had looked there might have been.
