The Role
It was really interesting and personal enriching.
I felt listened and accountable
All the time they were thinking about my own development and asking me if I was ok.
It was an intense day to day, but it was worth it.
I was working side by side with my manager (senior associate), doing the same as she did.
I felt that I had a good background due to my degree, but now I also feel much more empowered when coming back to uni.
The Company
Everyone had responsibilities. I felt that the individuals were motivated and felt accountable. Everyone was listened and the details of day to day basis were valuated. I think that I cannot find a place like this anywhere. I am looking forward to come back next year and learn more about the culture and company!
Every detail was thought. From the first day to the last one. We were well informed since the beginning about how everything was going to be. The only default is that no one knew about how was going to be the last day (giving the offer day) and that made everyone nervous.
They invested a lot. I feel grateful about the time and effort that they have invested on me. There were not only online trainings but also I could go to organized events and meeting with senior people afterwards. It has been a pleasure learning from the bests and this is one of the main reasons why I want to come back.
Company Parties/Events
I am going to JPM as a career, not as a place to find a job. I truly believe that nowadays JPMorgan is one of the best companies to start your career development, because I appreciate that they not only think about the results but also on the personal development.
The Culture
J.P. Morgan makes easy for you to meet other interns; people that are on the same situation as you. They organized three social events: when starting, in the middle and at the end of the internship. I have met really nice colleagues that I will make sure to follow their steps and grow with them.
It depends a lot on where you go and how you go. The town is way cheaper than London. Therefore, you can live by paying much less than in the big city
Bournemouth has been for years a beach holidays town. It has not a lot of fashionable clubs, but it is nice to walk by the beach and going dancing with your friends. There are events, cinema, nice places to dinner...I nice place to discover with your friends during your summer internship experience.
Everything is thought. JPM is prepared to help 360 degrees to their employees. I could participate in societies focused on sport and other societies focused on family...everything is prepared so that the worker can choose and enjoy the stay. JPM is prepared for everyone; gender, age, origin, motivation...thank you!
