    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The internship had very fulfilling work, the work we did was for a real problem, and thr finished product in the end was something that the team would benefit from significantly. The events that didn't include work were great, with lots of informative talks and social events. It was a great summer.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The team i worked in was extremely welcoming, answering questions whenever i had them, and helping me out when i needed it, understanding that i wasn't as experienced as them. Additionally the human resources team was incredibly helpful and always answered questions very quickly. Thr company overall treats their employees very well.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The team i worked in was extremely welcoming, answering questions whenever i had them, and helping me out when i needed it, understanding that i wasn't as experienced as them. My manager was very helpful in helping me grow, not just in the internship, but also as a person. I gained some lessons from him that i will carry into the future.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The beginning if the internship had a ton of events, which was a bit too distracting from the actual work we were doing, but they quickly slowed down and we were able to adapt to the work flow that the teams had. The work was satisfying, but we didn't need to stay after hours to keep up with it.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I worked on a significant project, solving a problem that affects the production environment in a significant way. The problem could cost the company very large sums of money of left unchecked. This was great as it pushed us to di higher quality work and led to a very rewarding internship.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The technical skills will be incredibly helpful, asi will probably do my dissertation in that topic, and i will apply what i learned in all sorts of different projects. Additionally, the advice from my manager has helped me grow as a person and a student, which has carried into my studies.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The team i worked in was great, extremely welcoming and very helpful when ever i needed it. The workplace was also great, with almost everyone being welcomingand helpful. The human resources tdam was incredibly helpful, welcoming and kind, abd they would always be looking out for the students in the internship.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The organisation was generally good. Most of the events that we were required to go to were announced with plenty of warning. The events were well run too. The actual workplace worked very well, with. Most meetings handled though outlook. The pre internship process was a bit harder to keep track of since it was spread out grub the three months before the internship.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm had us go through a ton of trainings before we were able to actually start working, most of them were about the laws we needed to follow, but there were also a fair amount about different technologies and some general self improvement ones. The firm also provided a ton of learning resources.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The other interns were great. There were social events organised by the human resources team, where we were able to socialize and make new friends, and then the people you met at them would always be up for something if you wanted to do something. They were all fantastic in this sense.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It wasn't too expensive.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It was fine, it's a citiy, so the nightlife is always there until late and varied to suit any tastes.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were a ton of activities to do, both through work and found by yourself. Through work there's a ton of different programs to help you socialise and pursue your interests , and outside of work, it's a city so there's a fair few things to do
