  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The internship was really well organised and ensured I learnt as much as possible.

  • My colleagues were really supportive.

  • I had weekly one to one sessions and my manager was always available to ask questions. Really well supported.

  • I had a good amount of work to do but didn't feel overwhelmed.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • After the first two weeks my manager let me take control of my project, this really helped me learn how to communicate with other colleagues well.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt a lot of valuable skills that are not taught at university. The training provided was excellent and I feel like I learnt so much during the internship.

  • The atmosphere was relaxed and fun at times.

  • Very well organised, it was obvious that a lot of planning had been done. The extra events were great fun.

  • There was a surprising amount of investment in my training for just an internship, really helpful!

  • Very appealing, I really enjoyed working there and hope to return after my studies.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There were plenty social events organised by recruitment, this helped me to get to know other interns. My team also went out a few times.

  • I found summer student accommodation for a good price, less than I thought it would be.

  • There were lots of bars and clubs in the area.

  • There were a number of events like pub quizzes and skills development activities.
