The Role
The team were great, as well as the work and responsibilities they gave me.
My team were really friendly and welcoming.
I had weekly meetings to assess my progress with my mentor. I was also able to continually talk to my managaer about my personal developement and guidance was always available.
I was given tasks and projects to complete, which kept me busy most of the time.
I was given the same responsibility as an Executives role, so I felt I could really make a difference with the work I was doing.
I was given a lot of training whilst at Cancer Research UK, which has helped my proffessional development and will be fundamental in my future career.
The Company
Really great environment to work in, with a fun team.
Whilst there were some changes to the projects I was initially supposed to be working on. My management quickly adapted and set me new challenging work.
I was sent to the same training as my mentor and so I had exactly the same development opportunites as her during my three months.

Many interns in the past have gone onto jobs within the charity, however I feel my chance may be increased with further experience elsewhere before returning.
The Culture
With over 40 interns in each cohort, I made some really good friends and we had a brilliant social life.
Working in central London is never going to be cheap, but there was a variety of places to socialise around Angel which were tailored to different price brackets.
There were a lot of bars and places to go for after-work drinks.
There were various opportunities to get involved with some of Cancer Research UK'S high profile events.
