The Role
I looked forward to attending work and the environment was very friendly.
My work mates invited me out to socialise and helped get me involved with events. I was able to engage in work conversations and felt like part of the team.
My team were there for me whenever I needed them. If I asked for help they would give me the recommended reading or help solve problems together
I always had something to do, once a problem had been tackled I moved onto the next task. Never a dull moment
I was given a project that was very important to my manager. Other than my colleagues helping with training, I was given the lead role and was driving the project
I have learned skills that I was not exposed to at university. These will help me in my final year and for when I return for the graduate program
The Company
My team always had work to do, but managed to find time to engage in chat and relax when they could. It was a very friendly environment.
Very organised. Computers were set up, email accounts, training, lockers. I was so impressed at the scale of the internship and all the work that goes into organising us all
We were given compulsory training surrounding the company, other technology training was given by our team mates. This was assigned depending on what technologies we were working with
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I have been offered a full time graduate position hoping I graduate with a 2:1 next June
The Culture
Many social events were organised during our 10 week internship and they were a lot of fun. Dinner, bowling or drinks and there was always a high attendance
My team would go to local pubs or bars to socialise and so the prices tended to be rather cheap which suited me as I am a student
We had a few nights out as I was only there for a short space of time, always good fun!
There are so many clubs and societies that meet up at lunch time or evenings, however I had other plans and was also very tired after work!
