The Role
An internship where a lot is demanded from the interns, but always offering ample support and oversight to ensure we learn and can grow. The people are friendly and do care about you develop at the job and personally as well.
The colleagues cared about how we were getting on, even arranging informal coffee meets and always checking on us week by week. Staffers checked on how we were getting on every week and always guided us in the right direction when it came to learning something new.
Very good guidance from our seniors from assistant directors to managing directors, each member took the time and effort to explain a new concept despite us being only interns. Overall, the attention and care given to interns from all members was incredible.
Of course the beginning will be a slow start, but from week 2 things kicked off with multiple staffings, ensuring work was ticking on. Fast paced and busy indeed, but it felt good and efficient.
Some smaller projects involved in more of the work being completed by me, with a senior checking on the progress. This felt good because it gave me the freedom to learn by myself, consult other sector teams to clarify my understanding of the topics, whilst also reconvening with a senior to ask other questions/check progress.
The soft skills developed in this internship really do make a difference. Whilst sounding cliche, the attention to detail ad attentiveness to deadlines really did improve. Along with that, you could see an improvement in both your imagination and ability to think and view something from another angle constantly.
The Company
Positive, supportive atmosphere.
A week of training and constantly throughout the internship, seniors put in the time and effort to teach new processes/concepts.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Healthcare/Dental
They said they have enough space to hire all interns.
The Culture
Great balance between chilled out interns and the more daring ones.
Standard for London.
Again, for London not much of an issue.
Charity programme was running on the side as well.
