The Role
Amazing work culture and a step further into engineering consultancy in the building industry. Absolutely loved it.
Felt the inclusiveness, grateful for responsibilities entrusted and different skills being taught. Very friendly environment to learn and grow.
Despite packed with a busy schedule, supervisor always does his best to catch up with me, take note of my progress and is concern with my experience in the company. Best supervisor I have had so far.
Workload gotten heavier 3 weeks into the internship, as I developed more skills, was given more challenging tasks to accomplish.
A sufficient amount and a rational level of responsibility, which was really satisfying.
The insights and skills I had gained in the industry were very different from what I am required to know in my academics. Little relevance between building industry and the electronics field in my studies, which are highly theoretical. Regardless, it was beneficial to my overall personal development.
The Company
Friendly, open minded, equality and welfare of employees well taken care of.
It was relatively relax and had a huge extent of freedom in terms of the internship structure. Very minimal contact with HR but that strengthen the focus in my actual task.
It was more internal within the team. I believed self development relies heavily on how enthusiastic and willing to learn an individual is. Company held sessions which provide good knowledge in both engineering and legal aspect, which is a great experience.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Quite. The way people are valued and appreciated are very unique and inclusive.
The Culture
Definitely. Great interactions across great extents of topics, bonded well especially over tea breaks and summer party.
In central London, it is safe to say virtually everything is ridiculously expensive. Cooked often and was sharing a flat with friends, hence its still affordable.
Lively at the pubs on mainly Friday and Saturday nights. Not very much different from my student nightlife as it is in the same area.
Yes, was able to socialise with my friends who are doing internships in London as well.
