The Role
The organisation was excellent but the hours were long and some people were not nice nor welcoming with the interns.
I have rotated in 2 teams. The first one made me lose my self confidence and was not welcoming, but the people on the second one were more than nice and welcoming. They valued me a lot and made me feel useful and valuable.
I think the HR should insist on the fact that line managers must provide actual work to the interns. My manager in my first team was only giving me exercises, which don’t show what I could bring to the team.
Sometimes I didn’t have much to do, and sometimes I had far too many things to do. It was not very well balanced.
I was given work that was reviewed by my managers before being sent to the clients, which is normal since I was only an intern.
I was challenged and learned how to focus on the clients needs. I also learned a lot about the fields in which I was working.
The Company
My manager was doing a lot of jokes and made us feel comfortable.
