The Role
I enjoyed my placement to an extent where I am now considering working part time. Very fast paced and enjoyable working environment.
Working with the my colleagues felt like working with my family because the relationship built between us all working together day in and day out for long hours made us feel connected well together and allowed us to get to know each other much better.
My manager was really good the support and confidence that I received from my manager was amazing. My manager and supervisor provided so much support to me to make sure I understand what I am doing and making sure I am doing it well.
on a daily basis we where really busy day in day out because my internship was in the summer and this meant customers where going on holidays and more cars where being rented then normal which meant we where really busy. Sometimes so busy we had a lot of overtime in.
The responsibilities given where fair and everyone working had pretty much similar responsibilities it was shared on a equal basis. Everyone had a fair share of things to do.
The skills that I have gained in this internship that I gained are skills for life. This is because your dealing with different customers on a daily basis and doing so many different parts of the job. The skills and training will also help me with the degree and this is because my degree is based around what I did in my internship.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was really good everyone got on with everyone.
It was organized really well and everything was put into place really well. My manger made everything feel really well planned and easy to workout. it was so well organized the skills where all coming into place effectively.
The company did invest good time to make sure there was effective training and development in place. The company and manager made sure there was time after to make sure any feedback that was needed was given to me.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
The future prospects are really appealing because you can progress with the company so fast it motivates you and wants you to carry on working hard.
The Culture
yes there was really good social scenes within fellow colleagues as some of us where in the same placements/internships which meant we can share any problems and help each other out.
The cost of living and socializing in the area was really good because it was near to home which meant I could go home for lunch and also the area had lots of corner shops and supermarkets surrounded around it.
the nightlife is okay not too bad.
Yes there are lots of opportunities to get involved around the community where my branch was based and a lot of family events.
