The Role
it was a very good experience, the company is really really good and they treated the interns as full time employees. the quality of the training is great and they make you work on many different projects, so you don't get bored easily. On the cons, it involves a lot of calling.
I felt valued even if I was an intern, my teams often brought me to team events and to see clients. I was also sitting with the team and felt like people really looked at me in the same way as everyone else. In addition, they all thanked us for the work we have done in Bloomberg
I had some great managers, and almost all of them took the time to catch up with me often and make sure they knew what we were doing and provided feedback and guidance. I met really smart and competent people, and they were able to teach us really a lot
Some days were busier that others, because at some point the projects might be a bit repetitive, and you felt you din't have so much to do. However, you could really be proactive and look for new opportunities by speaking to people and asking if they needed help on anythhing
We had quite some responsibilities, as we had to speak with clients on a daily basis, and we could interact directly with them also via chat and emails. We were given freedom and expected to be professional and engaged and this was really good. However, the type of call we did was a bit boring sometimes
the skills I developed, and training I received will definitely assist me in my degree studies and beyond. I learned a lot in terms of finance knowledge, as well as soft skills like how to talk to people, how to engage and be proactive with colleagues, and many more. Very useful
The Company
