The Role
Everyone was really keen to provide me with as much background and insights as possible. I felt like I found exactly what I want to do in the future. Everything was really interesting and I could see how diversified one particular area is. I found out that there are many niches to choose from.
Even though it was quiet, people tried very hard to help us learn as much as possible about their daily jobs. I could ask many questions and no one was ever annoyed and always helpful. I also felt like I was part of the team which made me really happy.
One of the managers was my counsellour and tried to catch up with me or introduce me to an interesting topic almost everyday. Even though he was very busy, he took lots of time to explain the background of our task to us.
I was not busy and mostly struggled a lot to keep myself occupied with something. However, it was because my internship was during a quiet time for my field. Nevertheless, people mostly tried their best to find something I could work on and explained it to me.
I was not involved with any client and the most responsibility I was given was to check some errors in calculations in a client file which was then sent to the manager for review.
It will motivate me to work very hard in my last year of uni, because I really want to start working in that profession. It also made me see the use of the content of my degree more clearly and how it is applied in real life.
The Company
Everyone was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very pleasant.
It was well organised and we were informed and updated via email in a timely manner.
I was provided with feedback on my work and there were many e-learning tools and webcasts available.
