The Role
Amazing experience. The work was intellectually challenging but hugely rewarding and the work culture is fun, laidback, dynamic and above all supportive.
Great appreciation and respect between colleagues across the organization. Additionally, the work structure is far from hierarchical making your hard work recognized by senior employees.
Great support by colleagues within team for entry level careers and by the wider organization where there are often classes in coding and more organized.
You set your own rhythm and thanks to the supportive work culture you can always ask more or less work. Expedia is also ultra-flexible on working from home days, leaving early etc.
Thanks to the ultra supportive and friendly environment, you are able to work autonomously fairly quickly and thereafter take on certain responsibilities which is a great feeling when you are just interning.
I have learned tremendously about my field and I will definitely reuse these skills acquired and developed in future jobs. As an internship, it confirmed my career choice but also provided a good technical grounding in this area of interest.
The Company
Friendly, supportive and dynamic. A lot of events are organized across the divisions.
Social events were great and weekly info bytes were organized which were very interesting. However the training sessions organized were not very useful.
