    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I did not enjoy my internship at RBS. While there were sporadically tasks that were somewhat interesting, it was mostly tedious and repetitive, and in no way challenging.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues were always polite to me, but they weren't particularly friendly or inclusive.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My line manager was often absent, and gave me only very superficial guidance.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Throughout my ten-week internship, there were only a few days were I was actually busy. Most mornings I got so bored that I ended up just reading newspapers for hours.
