The Role
The ability to develop my professional portfolio, sales skills, organisation skills and professionalism. The rewards are endless such as commission, monthly/quarterly/yearly company incentives... but you've got to put in the work and earn it.
During my placement, I got on well with everyone in the office, everyone is friendly. There are various opportunities to mingle with everyone at company events which are regular. You are doing the same job as everyone in the office, therefore you are valued like a true employee not a placement student.
The management are great, very understanding and patient for your queries. The training process is very thorough and you learn on the job, management are always there to help you as and when needed.
In this job, you are in control of how busy you are. The more you work, the busier you are, the more rewards you will earn... commission, trips to Ibiza, weekend in Barcelona, or even a week in NYC all expenses paid for. Work hard and it's yours.
You are essentially setting up your own business. You will be given a specific market and it is your responsibility to develop the market to the best of your ability. Management are always there to help, but your KPIs and targets are your responsibility.
The training, on the job experience has developed me so much. That much so I wanted to come straight back after university. I have developed strong skills set like sales, organisation and time management all of which will develop in the future when looking to move into management.
The Company
The atmosphere is unreal. It is an open office and everyone is here to make money and develop their career further, the office is usually bouncing from 8-6 everyday.
Very organised, a defined plan with specific targets, aligned with a great training plan.
The training scheme is a very extensive, 4 week training program. Whilst giving contact training recaps and having a training manager there for you whenever needed, including your managers.
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing, I am not back working with the organisation. No better recruitment firm in Leeds.
The Culture
Definitely, every 4 weeks when we hit targets (150% every month) we would go for drinks, and a meal all paid for. There would be quarterly incentives like go Karting. And don't forget the End of Year and Christmas parties which are class.
Cost of living and socialising can be relatively expensive, although if you are good at the job you will earn a lot of money. Work hard play hard.
Leeds nightlife is always great.
Gym, group training classes, travelling to meet clients abroad or national.
